Company Description
The IBK company was founded in 1979 as an engineering office. IBK is the abbreviation for Ingenieur-Büro für Kunststofftechnik. The company is located in Germany in the small town of Bueren, near Paderborn.

In the beginning the primary focus of our organization was to support and assist other manufacturers in problem solving as it related to the applications and use of Glassfibre Reinforced Plastic (GRP) products, and solving problems which could not be solved by themselves.

In 1984-85, the IBK company acquired the manufacturing rights from the "Deutsche Gerätebau GmbH" in Salzkotten. To surpass our competitors, our production machines were upgraded to allow the company to produce a higher quality GRP-antenna radomes comparable to none.

In the years to follow, the company's success in marketing GRP-antenna radomes was due to the following factors:

1.

2.

3
.
The special procedures utilized by the company,

excellent engineering skills allowing construction projects to be achieved economically through technical proficiency,

teamwork and cooperation with the antenna manufacturer.

In close partnership with the contractor and technicians involved in the antenna manufacturing, the antenna radomes and hanging segments are designed and then manufactured in our factory. Before the finished product leaves IBK, it is inspected by the contractor and by a neutral expert for any deficiencies that may exist in the material.

Due to this practice, there has never been a recall since the initial 1976 production of the antenna radome "Hohenpeißenberg". To date, more than 290 GRP-antenna radomes have been successfully manufactured.

Most GRP-antenna radomes or hanging segments are rarely sold without fitted antennas. Most customers prefer to purchase a GRP-cylinder or hanging segments with the antennas already fitted. Due to this preference, the main customer of IBK GmbH is the antenna manufacturer.
