Due to architectural demands for new tower buildings, special shapes are sometimes required e.g. a conical GRP antenna protection. In the case of the transmitter tower at Düsseldorf, a conical GRP antenna protection with a maximum diameter of 4 m and a minimum diameter of 3 m and a total length of 15,5 m was required. The GRP protection forms the top end of a concrete tower.
